No, you do not need a doctor’s referral to see a psychologist.   However, if you would like to claim a Medicare rebate ($98.95 per session), you will need to obtain a valid Mental Health Care Plan from your GP before your first appointment. We also accept Eating Disorder Plans.

Yes. Rebates vary between health funds, so please check with your provider for eligibility. Please note, you cannot claim both a Medicare rebate and a private health fund rebate for the same appointment.

We understand that there may be reasons why you may need to change or reschedule your appointment. We ask that you notify us 48 hours prior to your appointment if you need to cancel/reschedule. If appointments are cancelled within 48-24 hours, the cancellation fee is half the cost of the session. If appointments are cancelled within 24 hours, or you fail to attend your appointment, the cancellation fee is the full cost of the session.   Medicare rebates cannot be process for cancellation and fail to attend fees.

Clients with self-managed NDIS plans can access services at Mind Intertwined. Clients with plan-managed NDIS plans may also be able to use our psychology services.   Mind Intertwined is not a registered NDIS/NDIA provider, so clients with NDIA-managed funding cannot use their funding to access our services at this time. These clients may be eligible for a Mental Health Care Plan or can access services privately.   Please contact us for more information on how we can support you.

Yes - clients are required to pay for sessions in full and can then submit a claim for reimbursement through Work Cover.
