The Heart of Our Practice
Healing is not a linear journey, but a collaborative unfolding of resilience. We believe in fostering deep, meaningful change through trauma-informed care and a steadfast commitment to personal growth. Our philosophy is rooted in the understanding that true connection both with oneself and others, is the foundation for navigating life's most profound challenges and uncovering the path toward lasting emotional well-being.
Issues We Work With
Mary offers face to face individual counselling services, or Telehealth services for young people and adults. Mary offer a warm, compassionate, and empathetic approach to therapy and endeavours to create a space in which you can feel safe and comfortable to explore.
Mary works with clients with a range of presenting problems, including but not limited to depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma, personality disorders, eating disorders, stress, relationship issues and life transitions.
Mary draws from a number of therapeutic frameworks including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Schema Therapy, EMDR, Mindfulness and Emotion Focussed Therapy.
Trauma-Informed Therapy & EMDR
Mary is an EMDR trained psychologist and offers face to face EMDR therapy services. The goal of EMDR Therapy is to process distressing memories and develop more adaptive ways of thinking, behaving and coping. EMDR changes the way the brain processes experiences and has been found to lead to profound and lasting changes.
Numerous studies have established that EMDR is an effective therapy for the treatment of PTSD and trauma. There is also emerging evidence for EMDR as a treatment for a number of issues that may have resulted from disturbing events in childhood or adulthood including anxiety, depression, phobias and addiction.
Personal Growth & Development
We provide personalised growth coaching, with the aim of helping you to navigate life’s challenges with greater ease and confidence. Together, we identify unhelpful patterns, build practical coping strategies, and gently shift limiting beliefs that may be holding you back.
Our goal is to guide you toward lasting emotional resilience, deeper self-awareness, and a renewed sense of purpose, so you can step into the best and most empowered version of yourself.
Relationships & Couples Counselling
Mary offers face to face or Telehealth couples counselling services for couples of all ages. Mary endeavours to hold a space for couples to feel heard, to heal and to reconnect. Mary offers support around a range of relational issues including: difficulty with communication, trust issues, infidelity, parenting, conflict, life adjustments, navigating big decisions and working through separation if necessary.
Supervision
Mary is an AHPRA board approved supervisor and offers individual and group supervision sessions to psychologists, provisional psychologists and mental health workers, supporting them with case discussions, ethical decision-making, professional development, and reflective practice in a safe, collaborative space.
Maria Andreadis, MProfPsych
Principal Psychologist
Mary’s ethos is grounded in the notion that our inner world is deeply intertwined with our everyday lives. By exploring this connection, she helps clients understand themselves more fully, create meaningful change, and cultivate a greater sense of wellbeing.
She works with young people, adults, and couples, supporting clients through a range of challenges including anxiety, depression, trauma, personality disorders, relationship difficulties, life transitions, and personal growth. Mary has a particular interest in how early life experiences and trauma contribute to current patterns; relationship issues, and supporting people in personal growth and meaning.
Mary’s approach to therapy is warm, compassionate, honest, and collaborative. She strives to create a space where clients feel safe, supported, and understood, a space to explore experiences with openness and curiosity. Her work focuses on building insight, developing new perspectives, and supporting meaningful and lasting change.
Recognising that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy, Mary draws flexibly from a range of evidence-based interventions including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), and Emotion-Focused Therapy.
